Billy Shields is currently an Austin, TX based musician, originally from Brookfield, Connecticut.
Before rejoining society and heading South to the Lone Star State, Billy spent three years living off-the-grid in a cabin in the woods of Western Massachusetts, whittling his songs by a wood stove.
Prior to his move back to his native New England, he had spent the majority of his 20’s and early 30’s farm hopping in the Emerald Triangle of Northern California, sleeping on beaches and hitchhiking the roads and byways of the Hawaiian Islands, backpacking around the World, and traveling throughout the United States in vans and RV’s.
His songs reflect these experiences, inspired by the people and landscapes he’s encountered along the way.
