Billy Shields is currently a Nashville, TN based musician, originally from Brookfield, Connecticut.
Just a few years before Nashville, rejoining society wasn’t exactly on his bingo card until he fell under the spell of the great Lone Star State for three productive years. Prior to Austin, Billy also spent three years living off-the-grid in a cabin in the woods of Western Massachusetts, whittling his songs by a wood stove.
Before his move back to his native New England, he had spent the majority of his 20’s and early 30’s farm hopping in the Emerald Triangle of Northern California, sleeping on beaches and hitchhiking the roads and byways of the Hawaiian Islands, backpacking around the World, and traveling throughout the United States in tents, vans and RV’s.
His songs reflect these experiences, inspired by the people and landscapes he’s encountered along the way.
